Craig obtained a BBA at Texas State College (formerly South West Texas State) making the Dean’s list. He was a member of the Accounting Club and Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. He funded approximately 50% of his college costs and worked part-time year round while attending college.
After college, Craig moved to San Antonio. He began his accounting career at Thurmond Parr and Company where he spent equal amounts of time between audit and tax. Craig left Thurmond Parr & Company to work for Sol Schwartz & Associates as a CPA to specialize in tax for the next 9 years. He left to start Craig Franklin, CPA, P.C.
Craig Franklin CPA, P.C. has grown over the last 21 years, increasing in revenue, clients and people. The firm has ten team members and approximately 180 client groups.
Craig is a member of the San Antonio Chapter of CPAs, The Texas Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of CPAs, serving on several committees of these organizations. He has also served on the Bexar County Medical Society Charity Golf Tournament Committee. Craig served as Chair of the Advisory Council for CPA Connect, an association of 170 CPA firms with offices throughout the U.S., and is a member of the National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants.
He served on the board for seven years and served as treasurer, also, for three years for Providence a College Preparatory School for Girls. Craig served as President of HIS Bridge Builders San Antonio’s board. HIS Bridge Builders San Antonio is a Non-Profit that serves the children and families of the eastside of downtown San Antonio.
Craig is frequently interviewed and quoted in publications for his expertise on tax issues.
Craig enjoys spending time with his family. He especially enjoys skiing, hiking and traveling.
Erika received her Master of Accounting with a concentration in taxation and Master of Business Administration and her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX.
Before joining CFCPAPC in November 2012, Erika spent the prior 3 ½ years working as the Director of Finance and Accounting for ENT Clinics of San Antonio, PA, a large, seven location medical practice. Prior to the ENT she spent 7 ½ years in public accounting with BKD, LLP/The Hanke Group. She has experience in preparing individual, partnership and corporate returns as well operational experience related to running a medical practice.
Erika is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and San Antonio Medical Group Management Association (SAMGMA). She has previously participated in the Voluntary Income Tax Assistant Program (VITA) at St. Mary’s University. Erika is also a member of the National Society of Healthcare Business Consultants.
Erika completed the process to be a mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. She actively participates in the Work-site Mentoring Program with BBBS.
Debbie received her Master’s in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio and her Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Colorado.
Before joining CFCPAPC in February 2008, Debbie worked in the tax department for Valero Energy Corporation. Debbie specializes in the healthcare industry, small business and Texas Franchise Reporting. In addition, she has extensive experience in preparing individual, partnership and corporate returns.
Debbie is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and San Antonio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Debbie enjoys traveling, golf, volunteering and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
Debra received her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University).
Before joining CFCPAPC in January 2002, Debra had accumulated over 35 years of accounting experience, specializing in small business and medical practices. Debra also prepares compiled financial statements.
Debra enjoys the outdoors including hunting, fishing, boating, skeet shooting, all TCU sports and any event that includes her family and friends. Debra and her husband have 2 grown children; a son and his wife who reside in Spring Branch, TX and a daughter who resides in Dallas, TX.
Rosemary joined our firm in July of 2006 when she and her family moved to San Antonio from Birmingham, Alabama. Even though Rosemary earned a Biology degree from the University of South Carolina, her entire professional experience has been in accounting.
Before joining CFCPAPC, Rosemary had accumulated over 25 years of accounting experience, specializing in small business and restaurants. She gained invaluable restaurant experience while working at the Corporate Headquarters of the old Texas Tumbleweed Restaurants in Houston, TX. She then went to work at Siegfried, Kipnis, Rivera, Lerner and Del La Torre Law firm when she moved to Coral Gables, Florida. After moving to Birmingham, AL, Rosemary worked for Small Business Accounting Services aiding and assisting the set‐up of new businesses for entrepreneurs and existing small businesses.
She and her husband, David, with their three children moved to San Antonio in December of 2005. Her favorite pastimes are spent with the now expanded family, including her grandson, Miles, as well as riding her motorcycle or bicycle with David in the Hill Country.
Linda earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1986.
In January 2017, Linda joined CFCPAPC with over 30 years of accounting experience. Over the years, Linda has gained invaluable public accounting experience specializing in general business services and non-profit accounting. Linda attributes her non-profit knowledge to her employment with The San Antonio Conservation Society and Castle Hills First Baptist Church.
Linda and her husband, Rex, have two children and two grandchildren: a son who is an EMT and has blessed them with their wonderful granddaughter and grandson, and another son who is currently attending UTSA and will be graduating with his Master's in Accounting in the spring of 2020. Linda enjoys cooking, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends.
Chase became a member of the team in February 2016. He is the office administrative assistant, a role that requires versatility and a general knowledge of accounting and business processes. An important part of his work includes supporting the information technology needs of the office.
Chase studied locally at Northeast Lakeview Community College where he received his Associate degree in Business Administration. During his time in college, he developed an interest in accounting & cybersecuirty. Currently, Chase is studying at the University of Texas at San Antonio to pursue his Bachelor’s degree in Business Cybersecurity.
Chase enjoys board games, listening to podcasts, and spending time with his wife and rescue dog, Lupa.
Debbie joined CFCPAPC in December 2010 as an administrative assistant. She quickly became a key asset to the firm not only in the internal operations, but also with client services. Debbie is now the office manager for CFCPAPC, assisting in firm accounting, payroll, and processing tax returns. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio in December of 2018.
Debbie has two children: a son who is currently attending the University of Texas at San Antonio and a daughter who is an ICU Nurse with Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston Texas. She enjoys spending time with her children and maintaining an active lifestyle outdoors: whether it is on the water, in the snow, hiking in the mountains, or running on the road.
John received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Business Management from Texas State University.
Before joining CFCPAPC, John worked as a tax intern with BDO, LLP. John is a proud U.S Army veteran where he served over seven years as an All Wheel Mechanic.
John enjoys hiking, yoga, grilling and spending time with his family and friends.
Laurie received her Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degrees with concentrations in Accounting from Texas Lutheran University.
She joined CFCPAPC in August of 2009. Before joining CFCPAPC, Laurie spent 2 years as a staff accountant with BKD, LLP/The Hanke Group. She has more than 10 years of experience preparing individual, partnership and corporate tax returns.
Laurie is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She is certified in both desktop and online versions of QuickBooks.
Laurie enjoys traveling, reading, going to movies and spending time with her family and friends.
